Don't know if it's because some part of the receiver is shared, or just to protect the front-end.<br><br>This is common with all dual-band radios, irrespective of manufacturer.<br><br>The only radio I've ever seen that was capable of this is the (now very old) Yaesu FT-726 &amp; 736 base station sets, which had modules for each band and you could frig it into using two of the same band in full-duplex mode.<br>]]>
