RAYNET-UK

Welcome to the RAYNET News and Diary pages

As from Sunday 9th August 2015, the Sunday morning transmissions of the RAYNET news on 80m have been suspended.

This is because propagation on the band over recent months has proved increasingly problematic and an increasing number of members are experiencing high levels of noise, making it difficult to participate fully in the net.

A review of alternative methods of distributing the news and diary items is currently being undertaken by the Committee of Management.

In the meantime, distribution of the news and diary dates will continue via email.

Submitting News Items

News Items from all Communications Volunteers are always welcomed for the weekly RAYNET news bulletins! Please send your copy via our contact page

The RAYNET Diary

The RAYNET diary of events is maintained so that members can find out about other activities, avoid possible frequency clashes and put out requests for help. To the wider Amateur population, the diary is a useful indicator that RAYNET is "alive and kicking".

The statistics that the diary provides are of immense use to the Committee of Management when in negotiations with other agencies such as Ofcom and various Government departments.

Submitting Diary Items

Group officers may submit diary items directly using the Diary management page in the members area. Alternatively all Groups, irrespective of affiliation, may notify events by e-mail to diary {at} raynet-uk.net.
