Walk the Wight
Isle of Wight RAYNET group covered the annual “Walk the Wight”
This Sunday, the Isle of Wight group covered the annual “Walk the Wight” event, where 6,000+ entrants walk a 26-mile route from the extreme eastern point of our Island to the extreme western point to raise money for our Mountbatten Hospice.
It was a long day for all involved, but very rewarding. We had two members acting as sweepers walking at the back for the whole route to make sure no one was left behind or fell by the wayside without assistance.
We were lucky to have no major incidents; just one lost child was quickly located by the team and reunited.
